Denver man arrested in connection with Colorado Springs robbery

MGN

AURORA, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Denver man was arrested in Aurora in connection with a robbery in Colorado Springs.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), robbery detectives asked for help from the Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force at the beginning of July finding three suspects who were involved in a robbery in Colorado Springs.

CSPD says they identified one of the suspects as 19-year-old Simon Botros, who lived in Denver but had connections to Colorado Springs. Detectives found a location for Botros near Aurora and requested help from the Denver FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force.

On July 15, local FBI, along with Aurora Police Department personnel, located Botros and attempted to arrest him.

Botros started to run on foot before being hit with a taser and taken into custody, according to officials.
