Pennsylvania murder suspect arrested during traffic stop in Colorado

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reports that a murder suspect wanted in Pennsylvania for a 2024 homicide was arrested during a traffic stop.

According to the CBI, the Colorado State Patrol and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrest of Anthony Kistle from Peyton on northbound I-25 near Castle Pines.

The Pennsylvania State Police confirmed to KRDO13 that Kistle was charged with the following in connection with the death of his wife, Karen Kristle, in 2024.

  • Criminal homicide
  • Theft by unlawful taking (Firearm)
  • Theft by unlawful taking (Motor vehicle)

Police say Karen's death was the result of a gunshot wound.
