COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has arrested a man after he allegedly set a car fire Thursday night in Colorado Springs.

32-year-old Graison Dortch was arrested by CSPD near the 4300 block of North Chestnut Street around 11 p.m. on Thursday July 2, according to police.

Officers say they were dispatched to the fire after a request for an urgent assist from the Colorado Springs Fire Department near 2100 Vickers Drive around noon that day. The vehicle was completely engulfed and has been listed as a complete loss, according to police.

According to police, Dortch allegedly broke the front window of the car before throwing a lit object into the cab. No one was in the vehicle at the time of the fire.

Dortch has been booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center and charged with second-degree arson and use of an incendiary device. Both are felonies.
