Four people in custody after an officer-involved shooting early Monday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Four people are in custody after an armed robbery led to a chase and officer-involved shooting in Colorado Springs early Monday morning.

Colorado Springs police went to the 3000 block of West Colorado Avenue around 12:20 Monday morning for reports of an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven. Multiple suspects left the area in a silver Toyota 4-Runner that police spotted a few blocks away.

when police tried to stop the vehicle, the suspects reportedly shot at officers and drove off starting a chase. During that chase, officers were shot at multiple times.

Police said the chase ended at the intersection of Chelton Road and Delta Drive where at least two officers fired at the vehicle. Those officers are on administrative leave per department policy.

No officers were hurt in the shooting. All four suspects are in custody. Two of them were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is taking over the investigation.
