Rain and snow are back in the forecast for Wednesday

Quieter conditions have built in this afternoon, as winds have relaxed across our area. Expect partly cloudy skies overnight, with temperatures dropping into the 30s for most, and the 20s in the San Luis Valley.

Tomorrow will start on a quieter note, with sunshine through the morning hours. Temperatures will climb into the 50s and low 60s as clouds begin to increase from a system coming in from the west. Chances for rain and snow will pick up across the mountains by early afternoon. Later into the evening, rain chances will increase across I-25 and the eastern Plains. A little snow may mix in across higher-elevation neighborhoods, including Monument and Woodland Park.

Drier conditions are expected through the rest of the forecast period. There is a chance for a few isolated showers across the mountains on Friday, with a lower chance of these making it to the I-25 corridor. Otherwise, high temperatures will warm into the upper 50s and low 60s through the weekend. There are some hints at even warmer temperatures by Monday of next week.
