COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Colorado Springs man is facing multiple charges after police say he threatened to kill a victim with a knife during a domestic disturbance.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers with the Stetson Hills Division responded to a domestic disturbance on Oct. 31, involving suspect Terrell Saldana.

CSPD says officers heard screaming from outside the residence when they arrived. The homeowner allowed officers inside, where they allegedly found Saldana in a bedroom with the victim.

Police say Saldana slammed the bedroom door as officers approached. When officers entered the room, CSPD says Saldana attempted to hold the door shut before moving toward a closet where investigators had previously been told he kept a weapon.

According to law enforcement, Saldana resisted arrest and was tased before officers were able to take him into custody.

While being evaluated by medical personnel, Saldana allegedly bit an officer on the arm.

Saldana was charged with second-degree assault, menacing, resisting arrest, obstruction and assault.
