Colorado Springs Police Department

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is notifying the community that 83-year-old Vernon Eugene Stewart, who has been labeled as a “Sexually Violent Predator” (SVP), has moved to a new address in Colorado Springs.

According to CSPD, Stewart is currently registered to be living at 3615 E Uintah St #7 in Colorado Springs and is described as a white male, 6’ tall, 255lbs, with gray hair and hazel eyes.

Police say Stewart was convicted in 2005 of attempted sexual assault on a child in El Paso County. He was also convicted in Washington in 2004 of second-degree child molestation and violated parole in 2007, says CSPD.

CSPD confirms that Stewart is one of 21 SVPs registered with the department who reside in the community.

Anyone with further questions about this SVP and this Community Notification process can contact Detective J.R. Brown of the Colorado Springs Police Department Registered Sex Offender Unit at 719-444-7672.
