Highway 24 traffic faced delays after boulder blocked road over weekend

MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Drivers on Highway 24 heading west dealt with quite the roadblock over the weekend.

A large boulder blocked the road, causing some backup. The Colorado State Patrol says the rock didn't hit any vehicles or cause any accidents.

A KRDO13 crew caught the Colorado Department of Transportation starting cleanup on the rock. It was eventually cleared out of the roadway.

There is no word on what may have caused the rock to fall into the road.
