LEGO convention coming to Colorado Springs this weekend

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs will host its first ever LEGO fan convention this weekend.

The Colorado Springs Brick Convention will be at the Colorado Springs Event Center from October 17-18.

Organizers say the event will help Build Smiles Foundation, with a part of the proceeds going toward the non-profit. According to officials, Build Smiles Foundation helps buy new LEGO sets for underprivileged children during the holidays.

There will be a chance to buy LEGO merch, retired LEGO sets, explore sets from in the Star Wars zone and meet with professional LEGO artists, according to organizers.

Tickets are $14.99 for either day, and are available on the Brick Convention website.
