Frontier Airlines to cut 19 routes from Denver International Airport

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- Frontier Airlines, the Denver-based low-budget carrier, will cut 19 routes from Denver International Airport by the end of the year, according to our Denver news partners.

9News reports Frontier has made several changes to go after markets that were impacted by its competitor, Spirit Airlines, shutting down earlier this year. The cancelled routes include many in the Midwest parts of the U.S. and two in Washington.

According to 9News, four of the cut routes only started in October 2025, including one to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.

Frontier says the cuts come as they adjust to a changing industry landscape.
