Colorado Springs police seek help finding missing 10-year-old

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is asking for help locating a missing 10-year-old.

According to CSPD, 10-year-old Dezmond Nichols was last seen around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday near the 00 block of Scott Street. According to officials, he is a white male, around 4 feet, 11 inches tall, 75 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt, red plaid pajama pants and Minecraft shoes that resemble Crocs, according to CSPD.

Anyone with information on Dezmond, or who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call CSPD at 719-444-7000.

The El Paso County Search and Rescue confirmed with KRDO13 they were assisting CSPD in the search, but had no further information at the time. CSPD also told KRDO13 its Major Crimes Unit is assisting on the scene.
