Colorado Springs Fire Department rescinds city burn restrictions

KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) says it has rescinded all burn restrictions for the city.

The decision, made by CSFD Fire Marshal Kris Cooper, comes after recent moisture and lower temperatures have helped vegetation recover from dryer conditions, according to CSFD.

Officials are reminding community members that while the burn restrictions are no longer in place, residents should still use caution while using fire outdoors. They also remind people personal fireworks are still illegal within city limits.
