State officials issue Health and Safety Advisory for contaminated marijuana vaporizers sold at over 400 stores

CDPHE

STATEWIDE, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) are issuing a Health and Safety Advisory after it found contaminated marijuana vaporizer delivery devices.

DOR and CDPHE say the products were distributed by Staycon LLC, who do business as Craft. According to officials, the ingredients used in the manufacturing of the regulated marijuana were found to contain methylene chloride.

The affected product impacted more than 400 stores between March 27 and September 25. That includes several stores in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Pueblo West, Denver, Las Animas and other surrounding communities.

DOR and CDPHE say consumers who have this marijuana should destroy it or return it to the store where it was bought for proper disposal. Anyone who is experiencing adverse health effects from consuming the regulated marijuana should seek medical attention and report it using a Marijuana Enforcement Division Reporting Form, according to officials.

DOR and CDPHE say at this time, they have not heard of any adverse health events.

A full list of the impacted stores can be found here. DOR and CDPHE say if the Marijuana Enforcement Division finds other affected product, it will update the advisory on this webpage.

CDPHE and DOR say all regulated marijuana has to have a label attached to the container that indicates the license number of the business that produced the marijuana and the production batch number. They released the contaminated batches, which can be found here.
