Pueblo City Council to discuss new potential economic development project, titled ‘Project Tortuga’

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo City Council will hear about a new economic development project for the first time during an executive session meeting.

The project, titled Project Tortuga, has already been vetted by Advance Pueblo, which is the city's internal team. A full statement from the city on the potential project can be found below:

"Project Tortuga is being presented to Pueblo City Council for the first time in executive session tonight. This is one of the final steps in the economic development process after vetting of the project by the Advance Pueblo, which is the City's internal team. We anticipate Council will review the information and ask questions, then give direction to negotiators for next steps."

The City Council's agenda says the executive session covers a potential economic development agreement and looks at "determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations, developing strategy for negotiations and/or instructing negotiators."
