CSPD investigating car vs. pedestrian hit-and-run on Galley Road between North Academy Blvd and Potter Drive

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) confirms it is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in the 3800 block of East Galley Road.

CSPD says a preliminary investigation shows a car going westbound on Galley Road hit a pedestrian then fled the scene. That person was taken to the hospital with significant injuries. The call came in around 7:20 p.m. on Monday night.

CSPD says all eastbound and westbound traffic was closed on Galley Road between North Academy Boulevard and Potter Drive as of 10:30 p.m. Officials say factors like speed and alcohol have not been determined.

CSPD is still looking for the driver.
