Creek Week offers multiple ways to volunteer across El Paso County

Bear Creek Nature Center & Fountain Creek Nature Center

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Creek Week is right around the corner.

It's Colorado's largest volunteer-led water shed cleanup and it spans multiple days. And El Paso County is doing its part with several opportunities.

It kicks off this Saturday, Sept. 26 with volunteers helping clean up the trails and creek bed at the Fountain Creek Nature Center.

On Sunday, volunteers will move to the Rainbow Falls Historic Site to remove trash and noxious weeds. A week after that, on Saturday, Oct. 3, volunteers will help with trail maintenance and upkeep at the Bear Creek Nature Center.
