El Paso County seeks feedback on updated stormwater master drainage plan

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- El Paso County is looking for feedback on its updated stormwater master drainage plan.

According to the county, the master plan looks at long-term stormwater needs and the capacity of public drainage infrastructure across the county. Officials say its goal is to make sure the stormwater systems are safe, sustainable and reliable.

The county is looking for public input on neighbors' local areas, including roads and drainage areas, to apply to the plan.

It is also asking for help with its Haegler Ranch/Gieck Ranch/Ellicott Consolidated Drainage Basin Planning Study, something it is working on as a partner. Officials say it is focusing on flood risk, future development and long-term infrastructure needs in eastern parts of the county. The county is asking residents who live in the area to review the study and provide feedback on the study's website.
