3 hospitalized after shooting in east Colorado Springs, police say

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Three people were hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday morning in east Colorado Springs, police said.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, it happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday near South Circle Drive and Airport Road. Officers arrived to find a woman had been shot. She was rushed to a hospital for treatment, police said.

CSPD said two more people -- a woman and a man -- with gunshot wounds believed to be related to the shooting arrived later by private vehicles to the hospital. All three shooting victims were "in serious but stable condition," police said.

Police did not release further details, including information on possible suspects.
