Fine weekend weather with cooler days and scattered showers headed our way

Plenty of sunshine for the mid-afternoon hours in Southern Colorado. A few isolated thundershowers will spill over the Rampart Range into northern Colorado Springs between evening and Saturday night. But then after that, skies clear up, leaving us with a few scattered clouds and low temperatures in the mid 50s.

Sunday will be sunny and hot, with most area high temperatures reaching the low 90s. But then a change in the weather patterns over the Northwestern U.S. will cool us down and bring a decent chance of late-day showers and thunderstorms.

Midweek high temperatures will top out in the mid 70s, and the best chance for rain each day will happen toward suppertime, with the greatest chance for rain on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Mild late summer-early fall-like temperatures will stay with us through next Friday.
