Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC says a global mobility company has chosen Colorado Springs as its new U.S. headquarters.

According to officials, Bliss Mobil USA, a company that focuses on "off-grid living systems for expedition vehicles," will be moving into the area. Officials say the company creates "traveling units" made for exploration and extended travel within remote areas of the world.

The chamber says the project will bring around 40 new jobs, according to a preliminary assessment. They say it will bring $4 million in capital investment to the city.

"Bliss Mobil is an exciting addition to Colorado Springs and a natural fit for a city defined by innovation, adventure, and an exceptional quality of life," said Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade in a press release. "We are proud to welcome the company’s U.S. headquarters to our region and support its next chapter of growth. This investment is a vote of confidence in Colorado Springs; our talented workforce, strong business climate, and collaborative spirit. We are building a city where innovative companies can grow, people can build meaningful careers, and businesses and families can flourish."

Officials say Bliss Mobil USA will be stationed near the Colorado Springs Airport. Currently, the company's systems are built in the Netherlands and shipped to markets around the world, according to the chamber.

According to the chamber, the company was founded in 2012 and has delivered over 300 vehicles worldwide so far.
