Wildfire burned in heavy fuels in Fremont County over weekend

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Fremont County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) says a fire that started burning yesterday was around half an acre to an acre large.

According to officials, the fire was reported Sunday around 3:30 p.m. FCSO says the fire was reportedly on Bureau of Land Management lands between Cabin Creek Lane and State Highway 9.

Officials said the fire was burning in heavy fuels which resulted in visible smoke in the area.

There have been no updates on acreage or containment as of Monday evening.
