YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region closes one of its downtown pools indefinitely

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Update: A YMCA spokesperson tells KRDO13 the pool has reopened, and water exercise classes will start back beginning September 11.

The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region says it has closed one of its downtown pools until further notice.

According to the YMCA's website, the Downtown YMCA's small pool will be closed, and no reopening date has been given.

The YMCA says on its website they apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate community understanding.
