Wings Credit Union

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Denver Broncos Foundation is partnering with Wings Credit Union for a new scholarship program aimed to help 16-24-year-olds pursuing secondary education.

According to officials, the Denver Broncos Scholars will award up to $75,000 annually to students in Colorado pursuing degrees, including two- and four-year programs, technical schools, trade programs, professional certificates and other career training.

Officials say eligible students can apply for up to $5,000 to help with things like tuition, books, and other educational expenses. They say they expect around 15 to 30 students to receive scholarships each year through at least 2028.

The program will run through Scholarship America, a nonprofit that helps students with educational opportunities nationwide. If students are selected, organizers say they can also participate in special recognition opportunities and other experiences.

Applications are open now on the scholarship's website and close on Oct. 8. Officials say the applications will look at things like academic achievement, community involvement and work experience.
