WATCH: Scooter rider hits SUV while on phone in Douglas County neighborhood

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) is reminding people to stay aware while driving scooters on the road.

In a video posted to social media, DCSO shows a person riding on a scooter slam right into the back of an SUV in a residential area. In the video, DCSO says the person was on their phone and not paying attention to their surroundings.

Now, law enforcement is reminding people when they ride on scooters or other similar vehicles.
