Fort Carson announces field artillery training schedule, expect increased noise and dust

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Fort Carson is alerting residents that soldiers from the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, will conduct field artillery training intermittently in the south and southwest training areas on Fort Carson, Aug. 21-28.

Officials say those south of the main post can expect more noise and dust during the day and throughout the night.

The training is a regular part of the 4th Infantry Division training cycle, required to validate crews, according to a Fort Carson spokesperson.

Fort Carson asks that noise complaints be directed to the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at (719) 526-9849.
