Registration opens for Therapeutic Recreation Program fall season

City of Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The City of Colorado Springs has opened registration for its fall Therapeutic Recreation Program (TRP). The program offers individuals with disabilities recreational opportunities from September through December.

The program offers activities that include arts and culture, community outings, outdoor adventures, social activities, sports, fitness, and aquatics. Offerings range from rock climbing and cycling to dance, improv, archery, boxing, golf, and seasonal excursions, officials say.

Officials remind families that programs are first come, first served and some programs have limited capacity. The city says prices, which differ by program, are available on the TRP website.
