Lanes reopened after accident blocked southbound on-ramp from Highway 24 to I-25

UPDATE: The Colorado Department of Transportation says lanes on I-25 southbound are reopened to traffic as of 6:50 p.m. According to a CDOT map, the on-ramp from Highway 24 to I-25 is still closed.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says a traffic accident at the Highway 24 bypass is blocking the on-ramp from Highway 24 to I-25.

According to CSPD, the accident is blocking the southbound onramp from Hwy-24 to southbound I-25. The Colorado Department of Transportation says several lanes are closed.

Officials say to avoid the area and expect delays.
