Highway 24 closed in both directions between Goldfield Campground and 8th Street after crash

OLD COLORADO CITY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) says Highway 24 is closed in both directions between Goldfield Campground and 8th Street due to a crash.

According to a CDOT map, the road was closed around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says all lanes are blocked at South 21st Street.

Westbound lanes are closed at 14th Street and eastbound lanes are closed at 21st Street, CSPD says.

Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area and expect delays.
