All Elite Wrestling comes to Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor World Arena

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A major wrestling event is coming to Colorado Springs this weekend.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is coming to the Broadmoor World Arena on Saturday, Aug. 8, as part of their AEW Collision series. Collision is a weekly show that brings some of the biggest names in wrestling to local shows, according to AEW's website.

Right now, the promotion is on the road, leading up to their biggest event of the year, which takes place at the end of the month in London. Ahead of the event, fans will be able to catch some big matches as the Continental Cup kicks off at the Colorado Springs show.

KRDO13 sat down with AEW CEO Tony Khan, who says Colorado fans bring support to the events.

"The fans have been so supportive to AEW," Khan said. "We had a show in Denver in 2020. It was over six years ago, and we've been coming back to Colorado time after time. There are some great downs, and Colorado Springs is a great city; I'm really looking forward to bringing back AEW to you, great fans in Colorado Springs, this Saturday.

This weekend's event will bring three major matches for fans including:

• Orange Cassidy v. Matt Sydal
• Claudio Castagnoli v. Ace Austin
• Jake Doyle v. Eddie Kingston

AEW will be at Broadmoor World Arena at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available on AEW's website. The matches are also streaming on TNT and HBO Max.
