Missing woman recovered at Lake Pueblo State Park identified

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officials located the body of a missing adult female Monday, July 27, following a search at Lake Pueblo State Park.

According to CPW, officers were notified of a missing woman in her mid-30s around 12 p.m. whose family reported she had not been seen since Sunday.

CPW says the woman's fishing pole and belongings were found near Yucca Flats Campground, and a water search was launched using sonar equipment and an underwater remotely operated vehicle.

The victim was found around 5 p.m. in the water, according to CPW.

The Pueblo County Coroner has identified the woman as 34-year-old Jacqueline C. Montez.
