KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A motorcycle driver has died after a crash in Colorado Springs earlier this month.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), 26-year-old Denzel Uylett died on July 17 after crashing on I-25 between Tejon Street and Cimarron Street.

CSPD says they responded to a call around 10:45 p.m. on July 16 of a crash involving a motorcycle going northbound on the highway that hadn't been able to go around a curve. Officials say the motorcycle then struck the center median and travelled into the southbound lanes.

Uylett was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CPSD. Officials say the Major Crash Team is still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact CSPD.

Officials say this is the 34th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2026.
