LeBron James announces free agency decision via X

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (KRDO) - NBA legend LeBron James will officially join the Philadelphia 76ers, he announced via X/Twitter.

James, an Ohio native, said in the post that this would be his "last decision," likely meaning he won't play for another team when his tenure with the 76ers expires.

Fans and sports reporters alike have been speculating about James' free agency decision since he informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he would play elsewhere in late June.

James has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
