Restaurant Roundup: Korean cocktail bar temporarily closed, popular ranch earns perfect score
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - A local restaurant has reopened after temporarily closing due to multiple health code violations, while another familiar Colorado Springs destination is being recognized for a flawless health inspection.
Tokki reopens after passing re-inspection
According to the inspection report, raw chicken, beef and shrimp were stored together on the same shelf with juices pooling between the products. The meats were also being held at unsafe temperatures.
Inspectors also noted several food items were missing date labels, and reported that utensils and walls were "covered in grease and food debris."
KRDO13 stopped by the restaurant after the closure and found it open for business.
When asked whether the restaurant had passed its follow-up inspection, an employee said, "I was not here for it. I'm assuming we did since we're reopened."
We confirmed the restaurant did pass its re-inspection. We're awaiting the full re-inspection report from the El Paso County Public Health Department to see what they fixed.

Flying W Ranch earns a perfect score
This week's perfect health inspection score goes to Flying W Ranch on Centennial Boulevard.
Head Chef Luke Tripp said maintaining a spotless kitchen is simply part of the restaurant's daily standards.
"That's the baseline for me," Tripp said. "I was looking at that as the minimum. I wasn't looking at that as, 'Let's get a perfect score' to receive some sort of achievement or award."
Once the kitchen is operating at the highest health standards, Tripp said the team can then focus on creating memorable meals and experiences for guests.
Flying W Ranch serves an authentic Western-style dinner featuring slow-roasted barbecue to more than 400 guests each evening. Visitors also enjoy live musical performances, ranch animals, and sometimes even rodeos, creating a full Western entertainment experience.
"We really try to make everybody happy," Tripp said. "It's impossible to do that, but that's what we really shoot for. We really shoot for that good family, wholesome entertainment."
