Man arrested for felony child abuse in Pueblo following infant injuries

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- A 33-year-old man has been arrested for child abuse after his four-week-old son suffered serious injuries, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).

PCSO says dectectives arrested Brandon Impson on a no-bond warrant for felony child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury on July 15.

According to deputies, they responded to a local hospital after receiving reports that a four-week-old baby had suspicious injuries. PCSO says the baby had arrived at the hospital by ambulance after he reportedly had gone unresponsive at a home in the St. Charles Mesa area.

PCSO says the injuries included a closed-head injury, a broken bone, as well as scratches and bruises. According to law enforcement, the baby was stabilized before being taken to a Colorado Springs hospital for further treatment.
