CSFD responding to grass fire near Villa Loma Park

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a grass fire near Villa Loma Park.

CSFD says firefighters have water on the perimeter of the fire and that multiple units are on scene.

Officials say the fire was put out as of 5 p.m., and crews were working on mop up and overhauling trees and shrubs in the area.

Crews will remain on scene for the next few hours, CSFD says.
