El Paso County Fair celebrates over 120 years of agriculture, community

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Fair is officially underway for the rest of the week.

The fair, which started July 11 in Calhan, will celebrate Colorado's 150th and the United States' 250th anniversary with the theme "United We Celebrate."

According to officials, the fair will feature daily entertainment like the Wild West Stunt Show and El Paso County Nature Center displays. Barn tours and other agricultural educational events will take place to honor over 120 years of agriculture at the fair.

The fair also features special event days including a military appreciation day, sensory day and senior day.

Several ticketed events are also taking place throughout the week at the grandstands. The auto races take place Friday, July 17, and the demolition derby will host fans on the fair's final day.
