Colorado Springs labeled one of safest driving cities in US

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs has been named one of the safest cities to drive in in the U.S.

That is according to a new "America's Best Drivers Report" from Allstate. Colorado Springs is now ranked number eight nationally, jumping from 23 last year.

According to Allstate data, Colorado Springs averaged almost 13 years between collisions, down around 14% from the national average.

Colorado was labeled one of the safest states for driving, with Fort Collins ranking second overall.

According to Allstate, the report ranks cities based on auto claims data and also used insights from Drivewise, a company that gives data on speeding, braking and phone use to drivers.
