El Paso County Sheriff’s Office investigating suspected homicide in Cimarron Hills

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPCSO) says they are responding to a suspected homicide in the 2300 block of Reed Grass Way in the Cimarron Hills area.

According to officials, several calls were made around 1 a.m. regarding a possible burglary. Officials say four masked people had broken into the home and stolen things from the victim before feeling the scene.

Deputies responded and found one person shot. Life-saving efforts were made by both the EPCSO and local fire officials, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

EPCSO says officials are on the scene and investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the EPCSO's non-emergency line.
