Colorado mom arrested in death of 4-month-old baby

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has arrested a 21-year-old mother for alleged child abuse that resulted in the death of her 4-month-old infant.

Police say in September 2025, they responded to a call at the Copper Chase Apartments around 4:20 a.m. for an unresponsive infant. According to police, the infant was pronounced dead on scene.

The investigation continued, and on July 3, the mother of the infant Alyssa Ned was arrested and charged with child abuse resulting in death, according to CSPD.
