Pedestrian fatality reported in Colorado Springs traffic crash

KRDO

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) confirms that a pedestrian was fatally hit on March 10 by a vehicle at Wahsatch Avenue and East Costilla Street.

CSPD says that, despite medical intervention, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

An initial investigation found that the vehicle was turning left from eastbound Costilla St. to northbound Wahsatch Ave when it hit the pedestrian, says CSPD. At this time, police do not believe speed or impairment was a factor in the crash.
