PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO)-- Steel City Art Works is hosting an opening reception during its “There’s a Chile in the Air,” First Friday Art Walk.

The walk will be held on Sept. 1, from 5-8 p.m. at 216 S. Union Ave. where guests can celebrate and visit with artists who will talk about their work and answer questions.

In addition, the Urban Sketchers of Pueblo will display their sketches from in and around Pueblo in the Back Room Gallery– this show will be around for the whole month of Sept.

According to officials with the event, the Urban Sketchers of Pueblo is a chapter of the larger Urban Sketchers–a global community of sketchers dedicated to the practice of on-location drawing with any media, sharing their love for the places where they live one drawing at a time.

The artwork featured will include wall art, greeting cards, magnets and more. Urban Sketchers of Pueblo is on Facebook, where they post their sketches after each weekly outing.

For more information about the artists and upcoming events, call 719-542-6838, email steelcityartworks@gmail.com, or visit the website for videos at steelcityartworks.org.

The Gallery is open free to the public Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
