COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Springs Police (CSPD) are still investigating a shooting that left two people dead off S. Nevada Ave. Friday afternoon.

According to CSPD, the shooting happened on Friday at 1507 S. Nevada. Police said it happened in a parking lot near a Wendy's and a Taco Bell. Investigators also said the shooting possibly happened inside a vehicle.

KRDO crews saw officers looking inside of a green/white "all copy products" company car but police have not confirmed if this is the car they're looking into.

CSPD doesn't believe any of the businesses in the area are involved in the shooting. But one Wendy's employee said one of her co-workers tried to help the people hurt.

"One of my coworkers went out to assist to give CPR," said Kiarrah Fortner, Wendy's Employee.

Investigators were in the parking for at least five hours gathering evidence.

CSPD did not release the gender or ages of the victims.

This is still an active and ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made.
