Parts of Black Forest still without 911 services, outage for 17+ hours

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- As of Friday morning, parts of Black Forest are still without 911 services.

Thursday at 4:44 p.m., the El Paso County Sheriff's Office reported a 911 outage for Black Forest.

At 9:54 a.m. Friday, the sheriff's office said the 911 outage was still happening with no estimated restoration time.

At 10:12 a.m., the EPCSO said 911 capabilities for VOIP and cell phones had been restored in Black Forest. However, landline 911 call capability was still down.

The sheriff's office said the landline outage affects residents along Loy Creek Road.

According to the EPCSO, affected residents should call 719-390-5555 to report emergencies and non-emergencies.
