FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- An 18-year-old woman was charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Concealed Weapon after she and two others were reportedly seen passing a gun around at a Fountain park. According to police, this is just the latest documented incident involving "unruly" teens at that park.

Saturday, at 9:40 a.m., officers with the Fountain Police Department (FPD) were dispatched to Fountain Mesa Park. According to the FPD, reports were made of possible juveniles passing a handgun around in the skate park area.

At the scene, officers saw three people with the handgun. They later determined the individual in possession of the gun was 18-year-old Grace Harless. The two other individuals were an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy.

Harless was taken into custody and charged. The two others were questioned but not detained.

Police told KRDO that this incident was just the latest problem at Fountain Mesa Park. According to the FPD, the park has had a problem with "aggressive and unruly teenagers."

Beginning in March, the Fountain Police Department said it's received several reports regarding "aggressive activity of juveniles" at Fountain Mesa Park.

Since those reports started coming in, the department has upped patrols in the area. However, the PFD recently cut down on the patrols after seven months. Now, neighbors voiced their concerns.

One nearby resident told KRDO they want to see police in the area to help prevent incidents and allow children to enjoy the park the way it was meant to be.

Officers say they still plan to continue patrolling the area, but not to the extent it was previously.
