U.S. Space Command

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Tuesday, Colorado Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper sent a letter to the U.S. Air Force secretary discussing the decision to move the Space Command Headquarters out of Colorado Springs.

The letter highlighted key findings from previous reports, noting most senior military members prefer Peterson Space Force Base. According to the letter, it's because of the base's ability to reach "full potential" sooner.

The letter also states that not moving the headquarters would save taxpayers more than a billion dollars.
