Pueblo Police: Victim in shooting near 15th St. dies

PUEBLO, Colo, (KRDO) -- The Pueblo Police Department confirmed Tuesday that the victim of a shooting in the city's Midtown neighborhood had died.

Monday, officers responded to the 1000 block of W. 15th St. on reports of a shooting. Once in the area, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1400 block of Baxter St.

According to police, the victim was taken to a hospital. However, he later succumbed to his injuries and died.

Monday, police told KRDO that no one had been arrested in connection to the shooting.

The PPD said the Pueblo County Coroner's Office will release the victim's name.

According to the PPD, this is the 19th homicide investigation in the city so far this year.
