Drivers, fans warned of expected heavy traffic for USAFA game against University of Nevada

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Drivers and fans are warned of expected heavy traffic Friday afternoon into the evening due to the U.S. Air Force Academy Game against the University of Nevada.
Due to construction at the North Gate entrance, fans are recommended to use the South Gate to get to Falcon Stadium.
"Ongoing construction at the north gate continues to slow game day access," said spokesman Dean Miller told KRDO ahead of Friday's game. "Fans are strongly encouraged to enter the south gate off Academy Boulevard to reduce north gate game day traffic. North gate construction is expected to continue through 2023."
Traffic was a concern with the USAFA game against Northern Iowa.
While Friday's game is expected to draw a smaller crowd, it's happening during rush hour.
Gates open at 2 p.m. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
