EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Monday, a federal judge ordered the suspect in the Planned Parenthood shooting to be forcibly medicated if he doesn't do so voluntarily.
This decision comes weeks after Robert Dear went before a judge regarding the possibility of being forcibly medicated.
When prosecutors suggested they wanted him to take medication so he could assist in his own defense Dear said, “There is no defense… I did it.”
He is accused of killing three people and injuring eight others in 2015.
In a court order obtained by KRDO, a federal judge signed off on "a motion for the administration -involuntarily and forcibly if necessary - of antipsychotic and other related medications."
Now, Dear will go back to Missouri for treatment.
