PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pueblo Police are seeking information from the public on multiple reports of shots fired near the riverwalk Wednesday night.

According to Police, officers were dispatched on a report of shots fired to the area of 116 Central Main Street, Wednesday night just after 10 p.m. Officers who responded to the area reported hearing gunshots.

The responding officers contacted a witness who reported seeing around 15 teens between the ages of 14 and 18 walking and arguing under one of the riverwalk bridges. The witness said the teens began fighting and three of them fled. The others followed and shots were fired. Then the witness noticed a maroon sedan in the area that fled the scene going north on Main Street.

Police said they also spoke to a second witness that told officers he saw around 13 high school-aged Hispanic males run past his vehicle, which was parked on the Alan Hamel Ave. bridge. Some of them got into a white sedan that parked in front of his vehicle, while the others ran toward two other vehicles near them. At the time they entered the vehicles, the witness reported that he heard around 30 gunshots between the cars. He said the white sedan then made a U-turn and fled the scene northbound on Main Street. The other vehicles followed.
