One of the top high school basketball players in the state will skip his senior year at Pueblo Central high school

Yeah Kadyn Betts is going to skip his senior year at Pueblo Central, "Going to college in general is a little scary moving away from home, says University of Minnesota bound basketball player, Kadyn Betts."

Before he could move away from home he had to go to summer school so he could graduate early, "I was only missing one credit. I had to do a language and literature credit so I just knocked it out at summer school. I just got my diploma on Thursday," says Betts.

The honor student didn't just get his diploma he graduated with a 3.9 GPA and admits it will be tough to leave Central, "I'll miss my little brother running around at home and of course my mom and pops always. It's tough to say goodbye to all my friends that I've had for such a long time you know leaving home but I feel like I'm ready to go play at that level. I'm ready to get better each and every day," says Betts.

At six foot eight he's ready for the challenge of the Big Ten, "Man it's very exciting just knowing all the work I put in to get to this point to play division one basketball, just finally signing, it coming true, feels amazing," says Betts.
